On October 9, 2026, the 21st WGP City Run will take place in the historic center of Pirna under the motto "In the Light of Torches Through the Night." Numerous individual runners and relay teams are expected, and the race has been a fixed part of the Pirna sports calendar since 2004. The route leads through the atmospherically lit alleys and streets of the old town, with the starting signal for the individual race being given at 7:00 PM. The approximately 10,000-meter course will be categorized by age groups, and the top three finishers will receive trophies as well as a prize money.
